Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026  ยท  Plain English, no surprises.

The short version

You buy a WhiteCat Router, download our app, and subscribe to a plan. We provide the service as described. You use it for your household only. If something goes wrong with the hardware, contact us. If you want to cancel, cancel anytime โ€” no tricks.

The product

WhiteCat consists of a physical Wi-Fi router ("the Router") and a companion mobile app ("the App"), together providing parental controls and home network protection ("the Service"). The Router is sold separately. The App and cloud features require an active subscription after a free trial period.

Who can use WhiteCat

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and purchase the Service. WhiteCat is designed for household use only โ€” not for commercial resale or monitoring outside your own home network.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Free trial: Your first month is free with every Router purchase.
  • Monthly billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly through the Apple App Store. Prices are listed clearly in the app before you subscribe.
  • Cancel anytime: Cancel through your Apple App Store subscription settings. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
  • Refunds: Managed by Apple's standard refund policy. For hardware returns, contact us within 30 days of purchase.

How you may use the Service

You may use WhiteCat to manage and protect internet access in your own home. You may not use it to monitor people without their knowledge in contexts where this is illegal, resell access to third parties, or attempt to reverse-engineer or tamper with the Router firmware.

What we promise โ€” and what we don't

We work hard to keep WhiteCat running reliably. However, no internet service is perfect. WhiteCat:

  • Cannot guarantee 100% blocking of all harmful content โ€” determined kids and sophisticated threats may find workarounds over time
  • Requires an active internet connection for cloud features, app control, and updates
  • May experience brief interruptions during firmware updates

We provide the Service "as-is" and are not liable for damages resulting from internet outages, third-party service failures, or content that was not blocked. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months prior to any claim.

Updates and changes

We regularly push automatic firmware and software updates to improve security and add features. We will notify you of any changes to these Terms by email. Continued use of the Service after notice means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Any disputes will be resolved by contacting us first at [email protected] โ€” we'd much rather talk it through than involve lawyers.
